Answers to common home comfort questions.
Yes. The new FortisBC Dual-Fuel Heat Pump Rebate is scheduled to launch on October 15, 2026, with both gas and electrical permits required to qualify for the rebate.
ProD works with a licensed technical partner whose team holds both Gas and Electrical Contractor Licences. The same licensed technical team can carry out the applicable work and obtain both permits without separately engaging another contractor for the second trade. Our one-stop solution covers heat pump installation, gas and electrical permits, and rebate application documentation. This simplifies coordination and helps customers meet the necessary permit and documentation requirements.
Choosing a contractor without both Gas and Electrical Contractor Licences may require coordination between two or more separate companies. This can complicate installation and permits, increase the risk of incomplete or inconsistent documentation, and put the rebate application at risk if program requirements are not met.
FortisBC makes the final decision on eligibility and approval; having the required trades, permits, and documents does not guarantee approval.
ProD ClimateProfile™ is our “in-home, assessment-first approach” to finding the right solution for your home. We visit your home to understand the property, existing systems, comfort needs, and installation conditions. We then carry out relevant on-site assessments and checks to identify factors that may affect system selection, performance, and installation. Based on our findings, we provide practical recommendations and discuss solutions that best suit your home and needs.
One company. Four professional trade licences. One coordinated team.
ProD’s technical partner team brings together licensed capabilities across Electrical, Gas, HVAC & Refrigeration, and Plumbing. Having these four professional trade licences within one coordinated team allows us to manage multi-trade projects more efficiently, with clearer communication and better coordination from assessment through installation.
All regulated work is carried out by appropriately qualified and licensed technicians. ProD coordinates the project and can assist with required permits and inspections, where applicable. Our technical partner team is also an HPCN member and can help customers understand and apply for eligible government rebates. Permit requirements, rebate eligibility, and approvals depend on the individual project and applicable program rules.
Yes. ProD Home Climate Solutions acts as the general contractor and coordinates the overall project. Regulated electrical, gas, HVAC and refrigeration, and plumbing work is carried out by ProD’s qualified and licensed technical partner, as applicable. Where provincial permits and inspections are required, our technical partner will arrange and obtain the applicable permits and coordinate the required inspections. Relevant licence information and licence numbers are displayed on our website for transparency.
Simply complete our Book an Assessment form with your name, contact details (phone, email or WhatsApp), project type, and which four service areas you are interested in. You can also let us know whether you prefer to be contacted by email or WhatsApp. Once we receive your request, our team will review the information and contact you to discuss your needs and confirm the next step.
Yes. ProD ClimateProfile™ is included with your in-home consultation at no additional charge. It goes beyond a standard product quote by helping us better understand your home, existing systems, and installation conditions before recommending suitable solutions. Please note that ClimateProfile™ is a home assessment and consultation service and does not constitute a separate professional engineering report unless specifically agreed upon in writing.
ProD focuses on residential system installations and replacements. We also provide ongoing repair and service support for the systems we install or replace, allowing us to continue supporting our customers and their homes long after the installation is complete. Currently, our repair and service support is available exclusively to existing ProD customers.
ProD’s team has experience installing a wide range of brands. The brands we work with are listed on our website and service pages for your reference. Our recommendations are based on your home, comfort needs, system requirements, and project conditions rather than being limited to a single preferred brand. If a particular product or model is new to our project team, we review the manufacturer’s latest installation requirements and arrange any necessary product-specific training or technical guidance before proceeding.
Yes. A home project may involve more than one of ProD’s four service areas. ProD coordinates the overall project and the confirmed scope of work, while our qualified and licensed technical team carries out the applicable regulated work across HVAC and refrigeration, electrical, gas, and plumbing. Your quotation will clearly outline the services and scope of work included for your home.
All equipment supplied and installed by ProD is sourced locally in Canada through authorized distributors and comes with manufacturer warranties.
Manufacturer parts warranty periods vary depending on the equipment brand and model. Some heating and cooling systems offer up to 12 years of parts coverage, while certain water heaters may come with a 5-year parts warranty.
The applicable manufacturer’s warranty will be clearly specified in your quotation.
Manufacturer warranties cover eligible replacement parts, while labour warranty coverage is provided separately by ProD.
When comparing 10- or 12-year labour warranty offers, it is important to understand what is actually included. Some extended labour warranties may require an additional payment, while others may already have the warranty cost built into the equipment or installation price.
At ProD, we believe in transparent pricing with no hidden costs. We provide a standard 3-year labour warranty on our installations at no additional charge. No mandatory maintenance service contracts or paid maintenance plans are required to qualify for or maintain our 3-year labour warranty. If an issue covered by our labour warranty arises during this period, our team will return to address it without labour charges.
All manufacturer parts warranties and ProD labour warranty coverage are clearly stated in our quotations, so customers know exactly what they are paying for and what protection they receive.
For customers who prefer longer coverage, ProD also offers optional extended labour warranty plans at an additional cost, with the pricing and terms clearly explained upfront.
ProD normally assists with manufacturer warranty registration using the required customer and equipment information. If any part must be completed directly by the homeowner, we will provide guidance and assistance as needed.
Please call us whenever you need assistance with a system we have installed. After-sales service is a priority at ProD. We will arrange the appropriate support and assist with the manufacturer’s warranty process where applicable.
After installation, ProD remains your point of contact for the system we installed. We provide ongoing support with system operation, warranty registration, applicable permits and inspections, and rebate documentation, as outlined in your quotation and agreement.
ProD serves Vancouver, Burnaby, Richmond, New Westminster, Coquitlam, Port Coquitlam, Port Moody, Surrey, Delta, White Rock, North Vancouver, West Vancouver, Langley, Maple Ridge and Pitt Meadows. Availability is confirmed by project type, address and schedule.
ProD Home Climate Solutions acts as the general contractor and holds City of Vancouver Business License No. 26-277561. All regulated technical work is carried out by our qualified and licensed technical partner team, who also obtain the required provincial permits where applicable. Relevant license information and numbers are displayed on our website.
ProD can explain the applicable rebate process and guide you through the application. Our HPCN technical partner team can assist with contractor-related requirements and provide the necessary project and equipment information. Customers are responsible for providing any required personal, household, income, property, utility-account, and consent information. Final eligibility, rebate amounts, and approval are determined by the program administrator and are subject to the applicable program requirements.
Many rebate programs require registration, an eligibility code, or pre-approval before equipment is purchased or installation begins. Requirements vary by program, so current eligibility and application requirements should be confirmed before signing the contract and proceeding with installation.
It depends on the rebate program. Some require customers to apply after payment, while others allow a Registered Contractor to deduct the rebate directly from the invoice. The applicable process will be explained before you accept the quotation.
It depends on the current program rules. Some rebates cannot be combined for the same upgrade, and total rebates may be limited to eligible project costs. Please refer to the applicable program terms at the time of application.
ProD aims to provide a personal response within 48 counted hours through our approved contact channels. Weekends, applicable BC statutory holidays, and social-media messages are excluded from our 48-hour Service Promise.
Qualifying contact channels include ProD’s official website form, published email address, WhatsApp number, and telephone voicemail. Messages sent through Facebook, Instagram, Xiaohongshu, or other social-media platforms are not included in our 48-hour Service Promise.
Based on our experience, approximately 95% of replacement projects involving a suitable existing system are completed in one day. The actual timeline depends on the home and project scope. Your quotation and agreement will state the estimated completion date. If additional work or site conditions affect the schedule, the project may take longer.
