Three Days Away, Then Back Home With New Pipes

When it was time to renew the insurance on their Surrey home, the owners learned that the existing Poly-B pipes had to be replaced throughout the house. They still lived there, so the work meant moving out temporarily. They wanted to be away for only three days.

ProD planned the whole-home repiping around that short window. Before opening the walls and ceilings, the team spent much of the first day protecting the owners’ furniture, cabinets and floors. The old pipes were replaced with PEX-A, and the access openings were closed afterward. ProD also arranged for a painter to repair the paintwork and restore the affected areas.

The pipe replacement was completed within three days. Once the protective coverings were removed, the owners could return home quickly, with the plumbing upgrade needed for their insurance renewal behind them.
